Magazine Feature

Um.. that time I was featured in a magazine. #forreals!  So if you're in San Fran be sure to pick up a copy of Left Magazine to read the interview and poetry!  And in case you missed it, I'll post below.

All my love to the super talented David Burgoyne who did the glam photo shoot and wrote the piece.  I'm more than a little honored.  And frankly, freaking thrilled to think that my work is out there and might possibly inspire another soul.  This poem just happened to be the one I wrote the day I met David, and while not necessarily typical of the poetry I usually publish, it was the first draft of what would later become a collection, giving voice to the shadow elements of our nature.

I like to reframe things.

So when I moved into the loft (ie. my now super delicious modern/mildly bohemian love loft which began as a dark, dusty, nearly windowless warehouse space (story for another post)) and needed a large piece of artwork, I decided to get creative.

And made this.

There is truth in darkness as there is warmth in blood,

shadows only point to the sun they shade the light of,

and all are one.

Just an old junk wooden frame I found on craigslist... reframed as art.   And maybe just a few ideas that needed reframing too.  #rethinktruth #lifeispoetry #loftlife

More to come!
